Direct Mailing Orders (Brochures & Postcards)
How to place a Direct Mail Order
Note: Postage pricing is approximated because we will not charge you postage until the list is uploaded and CASS/NCOA certified. This ensures that you're not paying for print and postage for invalid addresses. You can place a print order immediately and we will upload your mailing list at a later date. The mailing turnaround time is 2-3 days after your order completion date. We cannot split your mailing list. Please submit separate orders and separate mailing lists. Postage pricing information is approximate as USPS regulations Please be sure your design on the back of the Postcard allows 1.00" of white space from the edges at the top right corner so that we can place an indicia for mailing. Also, please leave 2.25" x 4.25" of white space in the bottom right corner for inkjetting of addresses. Please Note: The USPS will not mail items with rounded corners in excess of 1/8" Since this product is mailed, the only rounded corner option is 1/8" Note: Proofs will not be sent for approval until jobs are approved by Prepress, are confirmed to meet USPS regulations and have a valid mailing list uploaded. Turnaround time does not begin until proofs are approved. Production timeline does not include shipping or mailing time. Mailing Guidelines Definitions
CASS is the Coding Accuracy Support System. It ensures the accuracy of zip codes and delivery point bar codes that appear on your mail pieces. CASS Certification is valid for 180 days. NCOA (National Change of Address) compares your mailing list to more than 160 million address changes. When a postal customer files a permanent change of address with their local Post Office, the move is added to NCOA. When name and address information on your mailing list matches name and "old" address information on NCOA, your mailing list will be updated with the new address. NCOA certification is valid for 90 days. Presorted stands for the software sorting of the mailing list by the first 5 digit zip code and then the first 3 digit zip code. Basically the mail is presorted for the mail carrier. Automated stands for the barcode being printed on the actual mailing piece. This barcode is read by the postal machines to eliminate manual sorting. Non-Machinable stands for the size ratio not meeting Postal Regulations, and a Postal employee will sort manually, this increases postage prices.
